    About Me

    My Photo
    Lisa Monet
    California, United States
Singing since I can remember---professionally since my early 20's. Started in a tea house in Santa Barbara where I heard a guy strumming and singing and told the owner, “I can do that”, and he hired me. All over California, Spain, Argentina and Mexico, in clubs, theaters, colleges, missions, schools, and other venues, I've traipsed around with my guitar and assortment of percussion instruments. Latin groups, rock, blues, and jazz bands, classical and madrigal ensembles, musical theater---thought I'd pretty much done it all. Then, with my two children I discovered singing with/for kids. What a wonderful world! With what energy, innocence, exuberance, and wild, willing abandon children open up to music. Twenty three years later, with 6 kids' CDs, I still see an infinite array of opportunities and possibilities in children's music beckoning me. Share the adventure here with me. Write about your and your children's happy exploring of songs together. Together we build community. Singing together we build a whole peaceful world.
